I’m Nuri. Boy from internet.
I’ve been building things on the internet since I figured out you could right-click → View Source and steal someone’s entire website. That was 2002. I was 12. The website was terrible. I regret nothing.
I still build things. But I used to, too.
Right now I’m building stuff at Fanatics Live - live commerce for sports collectors, which is exactly as chaotic and fun as it sounds.
When I’m not building, I’m probably:
• Getting absolutely wrecked in a trading card game by someone half my age
• Smashing my head against a wall during what I generously call “making art”
• Parenting three small humans who have zero respect for my schedule
The resume stuff
Coinbase - Led a skunkworks team focused on experimenting with non-fungible tokens back when you still had to explain what an NFT was at dinner parties. We shipped things fast, broke things faster, and accidentally helped kick off a cultural moment that got very weird very quickly.
Credit Karma - Helped build and scale the front-end and web platform teams. Led system-wide performance work, which is a fancy way of saying I made websites load faster and yelled at people about bundle sizes.
What I care about
I like building things that feel alive. Products where you can tell someone gave a shit. I like small teams that ship fast. I like the messy early days more than the polished late ones.
I’m unreasonably interested in the intersection of AI and creative tools. I have an AI assistant who runs my life, shitposts on social media, and is probably reading this right now. Hi Rapi.
I’m based in Amsterdam. Originally from everywhere and nowhere - third culture kid energy. I speak four languages, none of them perfectly.
